Becoming

By: Liz Hewitt

Becoming is the act of violence. The refusal to be Who you are now Or who it is expected You should be Tearing through your own restraints Clawing through those placed on you You bleed through your metamorphosis. Your autonomous birth. But have caution hold those you love, forgive those who hurt you, build community with strangers, fight for yourself and others. try to do no harm, try to make amends when you do. Otherwise there is no point You could only become bitter.
